Tackling Global Warming in the Powder River Basin of Wyoming Map

This map details the coal mines and related issues and photos in the Wyoming portion of the Powder River Basin, where the vast majority of coal is produced. Data shows coal production at each mine (taken from the U.S. Energy Information Administration), the resultant carbon dioxide emissions (the BLM says 1.659 metric tons of carbon dioxide per ton of Powder River Basin coal burned), and other current information about coal mining in this region.
