 Nation's Biggest Wildlife Killer Unmasked,
Congress Must Act

Dear Guardian,

Three weeks ago, in response to the Sacramento Bee’s shocking exposé about Wildlife Services, we asked you to contact Congress to investigate this rogue agency. Now two representatives have joined your call. And the Sacramento Bee has forcefully stated its support for a Congressional investigation.

Let’s keep on the pressure. Please urge your representative to join Representatives DeFazio and Campbell in requesting an immediate investigation of Wildlife Services.

Wildlife Services quietly kills more than 5 million animals every year, without consideration for modern scientific principles, and without regard to the environmental, economic, or social consequences. The recent exposé is cause to rein in this rogue agency.

Wildlife Services’ officials must be made to explain why they wage a reckless war on the nation’s wildlife—with our tax dollars. No agency needs Congressional oversight more than Wildlife Services.

Please contact your representative today and urge them to investigate this agency.

Wildlife Services killed more than 100,000 carnivores, such as coyotes, bears, and wolves, last year.

"We pride ourselves on our ability to go in and get the job done quietly without many people knowing about it," said Dennis Orthmeyer, acting state director of Wildlife Services in California.

And while even the military allows the media into the field, Wildlife Services does not.
